A Letter to Homeowners
Dear Homeowner,
A-American Roofing encourages you to do your homework when hiring a contractor in order to preserve your rights and avoid the headaches that come with poor workmanship and incomplete jobs.
There are many new start-up companies today that have been forced into branching off into other areas of home improvement due to the slowing economy. Be aware of pricing that seems too good to be true. Unfortunately, they do not have the experience and reliability of a business that has been in business for over 2 decades. A HIC (Home Improvement Contractor) License, proof of Workman's Compensation and Liability Insurance are required to obtain a roofing permit. Any person asking the homeowner to pull a permit or stating that you do not need a permit could mean that they are not properly licensed and or insured. We are called to regularly with customers saying they did not do their homework and now are in need of repairs and the original contractor is nowhere to be found.
